What we collect

• Account details: your name and email address when you sign up.
• Trip content: the trips, notes, photos, videos, and other items you upload, plus any comments you add.
• Basic usage data: things like how many trips and items you have created, and when you last used the app.

Why we use your data

We process your account and trip data so we can run Jou·Jou and show your journal to you and the people you invite — this is necessary to provide the service (contract).

We also use basic usage data, with your consent, to improve the product and send occasional updates about features or offers. You can withdraw that consent at any time.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct any inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Ask us to delete your data.
• Receive a copy of your data in a portable format.
• Withdraw your consent at any time.

Data sharing

• Your trip content is only visible to the members you invite to each trip.
• We use trusted hosting and database providers to store your data securely.
• We do not sell your personal data.

How long we keep your data

We keep your data while your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we will remove your profile, trips, and uploaded content from our systems.

Consent

By creating an account and checking the consent box on sign-up, you agree to this Privacy Policy and to Jou·Jou processing your data as described here. You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us.

Right to complain

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
